There will be real specimens, insider knowledge of their customs and tactics and all the tips you need to survive any heated foreign encounter. Friday 18th March There There have dissected the Eastern European stereotype perpetuated by politicians and the media; what’s left is the often challenging immigrant reality. This show is an invitation: to step behind the headlines and have a wider conversation about immigration, integration and alienation. Eastern Europeans for Dummies is supported by ACE and devised by There There, a 50% Romanian, 50% Serbian performance company. There There make work about national and immigrant identities, exclusion and institutionalism and consider audience development aimed at immigrant communities a core part of their practice.
