During our latest “Coffee with” episode, Serbian City Club had the pleasure of hosting Jovana Gospavić, Emmy-nominated costume designer, as part of the 17th annual Serbian Month in the UK.
During the discussion we reflected on Jovana’s incredible journey which led her from starting studies in Serbia, to being twice nominated for Emmy for her work as a costume designer. We reflected on her work both in theatre and film, and discussed how she got to became the designer of British Fencing Association uniforms, and whether she ever gets starstruck.
Jovana was reflective of how she overcame and continues to overcome challenges in the current unpredictability of the film and TV industry, and generous with advice to aspiring and emerging talent in the industry.
