Cambridge Film Night: “Next to me” with director Stevan Filipović – Fri, 12th Feb

Cambridge University Serbian Society and the Serbian City Club are delighted to invite you to the Cambridge screening of “Next to Me”. The screening will take place at the Trinity College Winstanley Lecture Theatre on Friday, February 12th at 7pm. (English subtitles will be provided!)

After the screening, the award-winning director Stevan Filipović will give a talk followed by a Q&A session.

“Next to Me” is currently the most popular film across Serbian cinemas. The plot is focused on a group of high school students trapped in their high school for a night, without any resources for communicating with the outside world. The film successfully depicts the lack of empathy and other problems faced by adolescents in contemporary Serbia.
