OPEN CITY - Documentary Film Festival 16th-19th June

Open City is London's largest documentary film festival screening 160 films, 54 UK premieres, over 4 days and across 6 screens from June 16th to 19th 2011.
 
Tickets are only £5 and based in central London!
 
As a part of the programme, there is an exciting selection of screenings, including Q&A events, which will be of particular interest to the Serbian community. There are 3 highlighted below with a focus on Serbia /or from Serbian filmmakers.

Serbian Epics - In this documentary, set in Bosnia during the war, Pawlikowski steers clear of the usual cliches of war reporting, followed by a Q&A with him.
 
Mirage – Nominee for Best City Film. Serbian film director Srdan Keca depicts Dubai, usually seen either as miracle of development or failed gimmick, here becomes a set for a visual exploration of displacement, longing and desire.
 
Village Without Women - In southwest Serbia, atop a mountain and four kilometers from the nearest road, the Jankovic brothers hold the fort in the womanless village of Zabrdje.
